| The Milwaukee Beer Museum, 722 South Fifth Street, Milwaukee, as envisioned by Edward A. Green, designer and creator of the "Streets of Old Milwaukee" exhibit in the Milwaukee Public Museum.
Our building was built in 1877 and is located in the historic Walkers Point district, very close the site of the first German brewery in Milwaukee and directly across the street from the former Schlitz Tivoli Palm Garden. The building has been going through extensive restoration since the spring of 2006, and the restoration is nearly complete. This link is to a photo of the building as of December 31, 2006, with the exterior complete and the sign/lettering installed. Below are four views, one before restoration began (upper left) two mid-way through the process, and one with the facade nearly done (October 28, 2006, lower right). |
