Since Milwaukee played an essential role in the American brewing industry – and is still synonymous with beer and brewing – it is appropriate for Milwaukee to have a beer museum.

Therefore, the Milwaukee Beer Museum was established to provide breweriana collectors and beer historians with a central, physical space to securely display and archive the treasures of our Milwaukee brewing heritage.

GOALS
To fulfill this mission, our first goal – which we expect to achieve in2007 – is to prepare and open a dedicated, physical site, which would serve as a base to achieve our other goals:

• the acquisition, preservation, and exhibition of breweriana;
• the acquisition, preservation and display of related documents;
• the collection and distribution of historical information to fellow collectors, historians, the media and the general public via special events, public displays, publications, the internet, and audio-visual media;
• to conduct at least one new educational event per month.

ORGANIZATION
The Milwaukee Beer Museum consists of collectors, history buffs, scholars and industry professionals dedicated to the goals outlined above..
