| Saturday, October 25 at 2 p.m., the Milwaukee Beer Museum will be conducting its semi-annual "Ghosts of Brewers Past" walking tour of Forest Home Cemetery. We'll visit the final resting places of all the major beer barons (Schlitz, Pabst and Blatz) and some less well-known (Krug, Graf, Munzinger, Borchert) and tell their stories of how they built the beer industry that made Milwaukee famous.
Everyone is invited - the tour is FREE - we will gather at the Holler House (2040 W. Lincoln Ave.) at 2 p.m. and proceed to the cemetery. After the tour everyone is invited to return to the Holler House for questions, beer talk, and of course drinking some beer! |

On March 18, 2007, the Gipfel Union Brewery building was moved. It's not everyday one sees a 3-story brick building - over 100 years old - wheeling down the street. Get a closer look here. | ||||||||||

The Milwaukee Beer Museum was established to preserve and display the incredible variety of artifacts from the city's rich and storied history of beer, brewing and the beer barons. But the city itself is a museum, and four walls and a roof can not contain all of Milwaukee's surviving taverns, brewery buildings and malthouses.
Our Gallery section has over 550 pictures of both Milwaukee's exisiting and lost brewery treasures... brewhouses, tied houses, breweriana and the people that built the industry. Check it out, but set aside some free time... there's a lot to see! |

On Sunday, January 21, 2007, Fox6 of Milwaukee aired a fantastic feature story on the Milwaukee Beer Museum by Jeremy Ross! Thank you so much! You can view the video here. Excellent job! The positive response this story has generated has been tremendous... confirming our original premise that Milwaukee not only deserves a beer museum, but wants one! The Milwaukee Beer Museum will be here soon. Thanks again! |

Milwaukee is closer than ever to having what it has always deserved... a museum dedicated to its rich heritage of beer, breweries and saloons. Two weeks ago the finishing touches were made to our building's exterior, including the gold lettering to proclaim to the world that the Milwaukee Beer Museum is a brick, mortar, wood and glass REALITY!
With the invaluable help of Ed Green, designer of the "Streets of Old Milwaukee" in the public museum, work is now being done on the interior and on the exhibits to be displayed. We are currently on track to have an early spring Grand Opening. In the mean time, we do have a few other special events planned, so watch this site... details will be posted here as soon as they are available! |
